Leading Polish Railway Automation Provider Acquired by Lithuanian Infrastructure Group
The Transaction
KZA (Krakowskie Zakłady Automatyki) is one of Poland’s leading providers of railway traffic automation systems.
The shareholders approached us at a pivotal moment—the company was on the verge of securing major contracts linked to the modernization of Poland’s rail infrastructure, making it a highly attractive acquisition target for strategic buyers across Europe.
We created a competitive bidding environment among investors from multiple countries, ultimately securing several offers that varied by nearly twofold in valuation. The key challenge was managing an exceptionally thorough due diligence process which, given the transaction’s significant value, absorbed substantial company resources over many months.
The shares were acquired by FIMA, a Lithuanian company with extensive experience in Baltic markets, actively expanding its footprint in smart city solutions and railway infrastructure.
